my list of heroes

since i still haven't found my flash drive imma put up a list of some of my heroes.
for all i know, maybe i'd have something in common with whoever's reading this right now.

Angus Young
EVH
Joe Satriani
Lee asher
Paul Gilbert
Steve Brown
Wayne Houchin

anybody who's awesome with photoshop

some of my friends are my heroes, too.

well, you might ask, what is my definition of a hero? well, my heroes are people i want to slay.

got the idea from this forum post below (posted at the CT forums):

Here's a thought...

In ancient Greek literature, the concept of the archetype is very common.

There are stories about the evil archetype, stories about the warrior archetypes, just about anything you can think of really. I was always fascinated with this genre of writing.

I picture myself as an archetype.

One of the biggest lessons I took from this literature was the idea of slaying the hero.

Possibly you might recognize this concept when I refer to it as the student surpassing the teacher.

This is a right of passage.

This happens in EVERY culture. It has been happening since the dawn of time.

Its importance is paramount.

I remember the day my father told me he couldn't teach me anymore sleight of hand because I had gained a greater understanding of it than he.

Right there and then, I had slayed one of my heroes.

Actually, I slayed my biggest hero. The world was now mine.

Do you have any heroes?

Do you have a burning desire to meet your heroes, and then slay them? (This is a figure of speech - just to clarify for all you stalkers.)

This holds true for things other than magic.

A sport you are active in or an instrument you play, could expose you to someone you might hold in a high regard.

I await all your responses!

Lee Asher

Ps. I still have heroes that need slaying. The beautiful part is they will never be slayed - and thus they will remain heroes.

Addition to the pedestrian lanes post

A few whiles back, I saw the post by Hellfire Prince about pedestrian lanes (linky) and I remember I had this nice and innocent MMDA picture. I dunno who made the picture since I just got it somewhere(It's prolly safe to think that this is shopped since I doubt that the MMDA would allow this kind of signage. But who knows? it ain't impossible considering that there's a lot of "eccentric" goverment leaders out there.). Err I'll put down this post if it offends anybody.

hmmmm.... looks familliar?

Self-Defense.

With violence here and there. Theft, robbery and er.. uh.. burglary. (lol, they're all the same) It's about time we kids teach ourselves self-defense.

And what better medium of self-defense other than Martial Arts? XD

This is what Pedestrian Lanes are for.

(it says walang tawiran, nakamamatay/no crossing, it's deadly!)

but where are the white lines of salvation???

and what're they whisperin 'bout across the street?

as i cross the street to find out,
i was given a ticket for crossing a pedestrian lane-less road. -_-

note: didn't have any cops who could pose for me from the other side of the street, so i resorted to taking from the interwebs.

simple thoughts

why i don't think our blog has the potential to have much traffic compared to other blogs?
because i feel it doesn't appeal to a large group of people. the humor may not be crude enough (isn't it simple enough to understand?). it doesn't have politics. and things like hayden kho and katrina halili and that guy who poured water somewhere and free sex videos if you give us your email. just thoughts though. now keep thinking
*cough*stalling for time cause something's wrong with my blogger uploader*cough*

school again?!

and because of that we sometimes get into stupid fights

and ofcourse we can't avoid scandals like this one.
ENJOY YOUR SUMMER WHILE YOU STILL CAN

uhh.. Hi?

Hello there.. I'm Jam. Just your common netizen-lurker. I'm not that interesting nor important, but if anybody wants to know me more just holler me up(I'm cute and single btw). I'm also from DLSU, so fear me for I might have the piggy flu.

So with all that said, I bring you a Nintendo Wii with a hard drive. Now who says only the Xbox360 and the Ps3 can handle massive downloaded games?

Welcome, Jam!

I eagerly welcome our newest blog author, and resident internet lakwatsero, Jam a.k.a. RaspberryJam :)
he'll be handling most of the random blog posts :P

Who Posted What?

well, i noticed that many people can't distinguish which author posted what.
well, you can find the author of the post at the charcoal colored-ish box at the bottom of each blog post. happy reading!

One week, eh?
